Narrative Reporting Report Packages

In most businesses, financial reporting is a crucial feature.

It can be internal reports, such as board packets, management notes, and periodic updates or external reports, such as constitutional, administrative, registration, or annual reports.

By using narrative reporting report packages, you can not only format the report’s content, but also delegate tasks to content authors and reviewers. In addition, you can coordinate their task and workflow in order to create a reporting document.

Create reports faster and conveniently with report packages.

Narrative Reporting uses three sample report packages based on different formats. Firstly, there is a Word-based sample report package. Secondly, there is a PowerPoint-based sample report package. Lastly, there is a PDF-based sample report package.

1. Sample Word Report Package

This sample Word report package contains seven doclets, one supplemental doclet, and two reference doclets.

Other than the cover page and table of contents, the remaining doclets are grouped under three sections: Finance, Metrics and References (for reference doclets)

2. Sample PowerPoint Report Package

Contains six doclets, one supplemental doclet and two reference doclets.

Other than the cover page and table of contents, the remaining doclets are grouped under two sections: Financial Statements and References (for reference doclets)

3. Sample PDF Report Package

Contains ten doclets, including four Reports report doclets and one Excel doclet, along with two reference doclets.

Other than the cover page and table of contents, the remaining doclets are grouped under three sections: Financials, Financial Appendix and Financial References (for reference doclets).

The Financials section also has a nested section for Reports reports.

Reporting Package vs SmartView

Reporting Packages are better than SmartView in a number of ways. The lifecycle of your deliverables can be managed with the aid of report packages.

Organizations can use them for:

  • Assign material to a number of authors, each of whom is responsible for a different section of the report.
  • Collect feedback comments from a number of reviewers.
  • Submit the completed report for electronic signoff.
  • Provide user alerts, manage the workflow, and coordinate the processes during the report lifecycle.
  • Data points can be combined with a narrative text.
  • Secure and limit report content access, allowing users to view only the content they are allowed to see at the time they are allowed to see it.

Narrative Reporting Management Reporting

Narrative Reporting Management Reports is a cloud-based reporting solution for creating EPM cloud financial and managerial reports. Given below are some of the key advantages of Management Reporting tool:

  • Combine material from multiple clouds into a single article.
  • Embed grids and graphics in report doclets with centralized point-of-view controls and automatic doclet updates.
  • Report package variables make it simple to change the point of view of information contained within a report package.
  • To refer to data in other grids, grid row or column formulas can be used.

Narrative Reporting Disclosure Management

Narrative Reporting’s Disclosure Management module, enables organizations to centralize and effectively manage the development of XBRL-tagged submissions, which are now required by many regulatory bodies.

Three use cases are supported by Disclosure Management in Narrative Reporting:

Open taxonomies, such as those governed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (for example, US-GAAP), where the taxonomies can be extended: Taxonomy Designer allows you to create and manage extended taxonomies.

Closed Taxonomies that are not extendible, such as those governed by the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS): Allows you to register a taxonomy that you’ve downloaded and then map the items in your Disclosure Management report and doclets to the proper data values.

High-volume auto-tagging capabilities for specific South American regulator reporting through an Excel flat file with many worksheets given by the regulator.

This template may be automatically tagged by Narrative Reporting’s Disclosure Management, considerably reducing the filing work.
